CALL FOR DIRECTORS FOR FALL 2010 PRODUCTION
We would like to thank our 2010 Play Selection Committee; Tony Arnold, Val Macdonald, Val Heath, Ted hicks and Shari Jakubiec for reading the suggested plays proposed by the Play Reading Committee and presenting their ideas to the Board of Directors.
The Board has selected The Mousetrap, a masterfully written play by Agatha Christie, as our fall 2010 production. The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play which opened in the West End of London in 1952, and has been running continuously since then. It has had the longest initial run of any play in history, with over 24,000 performances so far; it is the longest running show (of any type) of the modern era. The play is also known for its twist ending, which at the end of every performance the audience is asked not to reveal.
We believe that this thrilling murder mystery drama is sure to be enjoyed by our audiences and a wonderful way to help celebrate our 50th year of providing quality entertainment in the Comox Valley.
If you would like to be considered to direct this play for our fall 2010 production, please submit the application form to Shari Jakubiec at sharijakubiec@shaw.ca, prior to the March 15th, 2010 deadline.
