The play stays pretty close to the plot and spirit of Bram Stoker’s sprawling 1897 novel, Dracula. Twelve actors play more than twenty roles over twenty-two scenes that take place in multiple locations, from Dracula’s Transylvanian Castle to the Whitby Asylum.

We are having a ton of fun creating our version of this classic Gothic tale! Our actors are bringing to life the well-known characters of Dracula (Simon Easterman), Dr. Van Helsing (Erin Malin), Dr. Seward (Alex Schwalm), Lucy (Jasmin Rosner), Mina (Cass Nagy), Renfield (Wes Buckle), as well as many others. There are all kinds of dramatic tricks to figure out in order to to create the dark magic of Dracula’s story, and there is a lot of humour too, both in the script and in our rehearsals.

Get your tickets soon! Dracula, Nightmare of the Dead by Allan Stratton is at the Sid Williams Theatre from Oct 2-6. Go to www.sidwilliamstheatre.com to purchase tickets online.
