Elf the Musical is a hilarious tale of Buddy, who as a young orphan child crawled into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. Unaware that he is human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help everyone remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern-day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF.

Audition location
Auditions will be held at the Courtenay Little Theatre Studio at the Views, 2137 Comox Avenue in Comox. In the old St Joseph’s Hospital. Use the parking lot by the Auxiliary Thrift Shop and enter through the main doors. Wait in the hall until someone greets you and invites you in.
how to prepare
Prepare a portion of a monologue and a song of your choice that is up to 2 minutes long. We will send you an audition form in a few weeks to fill out and bring it to your audition.
important dates
- Cast will be announced by October 1st.
- Rehearsals will generally be small group rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and full cast on Sundays from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
- Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday October 13th.
- Meet and Greet and full cast read through on Sunday October 18 at 12:00pm.
- Move into the theatre on Thursday December 17th.
- Technical and Dress Rehearsals from December 18, 19 and 20th.
- 10 shows between December 21-31 at the Sid Williams Theatre:
- Evening performances: Dec 21, Dec 22, Dec 26, Dec 27, Dec 28, Dec 29
- Matinee performances: Dec 23, Dec 27, Dec 30, Dec 31
- No shows on December 24 and 25
